The Holokai Friday Night Fireworks Cruise is a one-hour, open-bar catamaran tour departing directly from Waikiki Beach every Friday evening, offering passengers an unobstructed, front-row view of the Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks display from the water.
Every Friday night, Honolulu lights up with the Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks display – and the best seat in the house isn’t on the beach. It’s on the water. Check-in is at Outrigger Reef Waikiki (2169 Kalia Rd) – a short walk from most central Waikiki hotels and steps from Hilton Hawaiian Village. Open bar on every sail. Only one sail per week – it sells out fast. Book early.

Why Watch the Waikiki Fireworks from the Water?
The beach gets crowded on Friday nights. Everyone scrambles for a spot on the sand or a hotel balcony. On the Holokai, you’re out on the open ocean with an unobstructed 360-degree view of the show, the Waikiki skyline illuminated behind it, and the Diamond Head crater silhouetted against the night sky. There’s nowhere else in Honolulu you can experience the Friday night fireworks like this.
It’s also the only Hilton Hawaiian Village fireworks cruise that departs directly from Waikiki Beach – no harbor, no shuttle, no commute from your hotel.
What to Expect
You’ll check in at Outrigger Reef Waikiki (2169 Kalia Rd) about 30 minutes before departure and walk down to the boat with the crew. Once on the water, the open bar opens immediately. You’ll sail out to the fireworks viewing position just offshore as Honolulu’s Friday night energy builds. When the show starts, you’ll be positioned with a front-row view of every burst, reflection, and color across the water. The cruise is all ages – but the atmosphere leans festive and social.
Schedule: 7:15pm-8:15pm (October-February) and 7:30pm-8:30pm (March-September). Check-in 30 minutes before departure.
Why Choose Holokai for Your Waikiki Beach Adventure?
There are several operators offering boat tours in Honolulu, so what makes Holokai different? A lot, actually.
No Harbor – Board Directly from Waikiki Beach
Most Oahu sunset cruises depart from Kewalo Basin Harbor, requiring a shuttle or bus from Waikiki. Holokai departs from the Waikiki shoreline nestled between Fort DeRussy and the Royal Hawaiian Hotel. Steps from Outrigger Reef, Sheraton Waikiki, and Hilton Hawaiian Village. No shuttles, no industrial pier, no bus rides.
A Premium Catamaran Sunset Experience
Holokai boards directly from the sand – no harbor drive, no shuttle, no pier. Check-in steps from your hotel, walk to the boat with the crew, and sail. It’s one of the most convenient fireworks cruise in Honolulu.
Open Bar Included
Every ticket includes a full open bar from departure to return – beer, wine, our signature Holokai Hooch cocktail, and non-alcoholic options. Cheers to Fridays.
Only One Per Week
The Fireworks Sail runs Friday nights only. Space is limited to 49 passengers. It sells out regularly – especially in summer. Book as early as possible.
How Beach Boarding Works
Check-in is at Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort, 2169 Kalia Rd. From there, it’s a 5-10 minute walk (max 0.3 miles) to the beach boarding point, which shifts slightly with the tides to ensure the safest boarding every time. Our crew guides you the whole way – just bring footwear you can slip on and off.
